"The Truman Show delusion is a type of persecutory/grandiose delusion in which patients believe their lives are staged plays or reality television shows. The term was coined in 2008 by brothers Joel and Ian Gold, a psychiatrist and a neurophilosopher, respectively, after the 1998 film The Truman Show. It is not officially recognized and is not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association.[1] Truman Syndrome may be a related condition."

Heidegger in der Satire [Bearbeiten]

Heidegger wurde vor allem wegen seines eigentümlichen Umgangs mit der Sprache vielfach zum Gegenstand von Satiren. So zum Beispiel in Gabriel Marcels Theaterstück „La Dimension Florestan“, in dem es in ironischer Anspielung auf Heideggers vermeintlich tautologischen Sprachgebrauch heißt: „Die Birne birnt, haben Sie gesagt, der Apfel apfelt, haben Sie mir mit noch unabweislicherer Autorität ergänzt.“[20] Günter Grass lässt in seinem Roman „Hundejahre“ einen durch Heidegger inspirierten Feldwebel mit den Worten auftreten: „Und eben das Wörtchen Existenz passte überall hin: 'Existier mir mal ne Zigarette […]. Wenn du nicht gleich die Fresse hältst, existiere ich Dir eine.' […]Wochenendurlaub hieß Existierpause.“
